The International Elizabeth von Arnim Society and the Katherine Mansfield Society are delighted to announce their first joint conference, which will take place on 19 & 20 July 2017 at the Huntington Library, San Marino, California, USA:

Elizabeth von Arnim and Katherine Mansfield – Literary Connections, Friendships and Influence

Our keynote speakers will be Professor Emerita Bonnie Kime Scott (San Diego State University) and Professor Christine Froula (Northwestern University).

As one of the world’s great research libraries, the Huntington also holds the papers of Elizabeth von Arnim and early editions of Katherine Mansfield’s stories. The library is situated amidst stunning gardens, well worth a visit on their own.
