Villa Flora, Menton - France

Oh - most exciting. Cousin Mac (the surgeon Laurie Macgavin) lives a few miles from Broomies. Knows it. Has been over to see it wanted it for Cousin Lou & Len (the deaf & dumb one Connie's sister & brother great uncle Horatio Beauchamp's children.) Mac says it was too isolated for them but its a great bargain, excellently built, could be made up-to-date at a very small expense and is just the very climate for me - He wrote "Katherine couldn't have a better spot." He has a place called Dewbridge where he lives there: I believe its lovely, and we are not far from the Leslies encampment - old Kate Leslie and her crew. They know Broomies too. But don't be frightened, dearest love. I wont let them disturb you. Laurie Macgavin is a fearfully nice chap tho' - a Scottish surgeon. You'd like him & I value his opinion. We must have that house. If we did want to sell it any time we could always do so to one of their ramifications. But I don't want to sell it.
Boge could you buy an ordinary folding canvas chair for me - small
- one that L.M.  could carry on to the Heath for me & put under a tree - so that I can work there? Ive got the out of doors habit now & like all people with lungs I feel stifled indoors for long. I mean to be the Mysterious Lady of Hampstead Heath this year. Wing can be trained to carry me visitors cards cant he. Addio - precious darling love.
Ever your very own
