Travelling to London

My precious dear
Will you please guarder these snaps for me in a book? Don't forget mignonette, because Ill weep over the steps & the arum lilies - in memory.
Do you think they are good of your girl? Please tell.

My darling

I add a tiny note. It is raining & the wet rose hush blows about full of great drops. I suddenly for no reason remembered you at Clovelly with 3d of ice for the butter - and you and I in our boat - a queer place or getting ready to go out to dinner. Weren't we happy! You were such a darling: I loved you so and you were grave and rather silent even then. Do you remember the white shoes with blue laces we bought in Paris? Oh, Bogey don't get older! Let us always be in our heart of hearts very very young. [To J. M. Murry in Collected Letters, dated April 1920]
