Villa Flora, Menton - France

Ida has been and gone with the reviews and telegram. The cannons are being fired for the royal wedding at Monaco. Monaco is very romantic! Last night it & Monte were illuminated & there were Bengal lights & a torchlight procession & serenades under the palace windows & a great ball in the gardens. I always wish in a way we were Prince Bogey of Heronia and the Princess Wig. You would have made a good Prince . . . but I wouldn't have been up to much.
Bunny Dunn is revealed as a Beatrice Hastings of the worst kind. She is frightfully jealous of me & has been telling disgusting lies behind my back & altogether behaving so odiously that I cant even look at her. Happily she returns to the Ritz & Claridges in a day or two and she don't signify. But Society women when they do turn and are not well bred take a good deal of beating, Boge. Ive got her presents for good and all & I dont really care.
Oh, its such a day - the sea purrs. Its so hot & fine and golden. You would bathe & brown & youd eat oranges with me in a green shade. I love and love & love you for ever. Goodbye for now my own precious darling. Dont forget Im coming and that I am for ever your very own little mate
