Darling I cant thank you properly for the blue book. Ill take care of it for you.
Lets see. What is the news of the outside world. A letter from Sorapure — awfully nice. A letter from Bouchage & his bill - 2000 francs. Awfully nasty. A letter from Tom Moult appealing to the past when he first knew us & quoting your old letters to him. Yes, it did touch me. A bundle of press cuttings - stray shoots that ought to have been cut off long ago. And Jeanne, in Montreal and Jinnie just off to Rome - and so on, love. Its so hot that one pulls up ones sleeves to write - above the elbow, you know - & thinks in terms of fans. I decided last night that we should have our first dinner up here in the little salon. It was the first — in fact it was the airy fairy foundation stone of the dream which is called Arrival of Bogey.
