Villa Flora, Menton - France

My dearest Bogey
Please reply to all of this in detail for I shall be home now in six weeks and I must know certain things.
(A) I have just received a letter from you about your country expedition with Brett. I am in complete agreement about the cottage. As long as you can find one L.M. and I will do the rest. But I am certainly not well enough to spend the 6 months (and not 4 as you ever so airily suggest darling!) in a cottage. As I have already told you I return to England on the 30th of April & do not leave before November. I must [therefore] have Portland Villas and I beseech you to realise that QUITE DEFINITELY. I long to spend a country holiday with you but I intend when I return to see Doctor Sorapure, to go very slow and certainly it were impossible for me to pass those 6 months in the country. We shall have to make a financial scheme by which this will be ‘easy'; I am sure we can. (Does 2 months make so little difference to you? Darling, what a queer lover I have!)  [To J.M.
